As a major sponsor of the Houston Texans, BMW sponsors a valet car service on game days. The brand was looking to enhance its sponsorship and create brand awareness among stadium suite holders.
Challenge
The brand was already using embroidered shirts and hats as a part of their valet sponsorship, but they needed a way to maximize their impact with a kind of value-added product or service for Houston Texans suite holders. BMW wanted a memorable and useful gift would help reinforce the image and brand.
Solution
The marketing team had an idea to leave a surprise valet keychain gift on the console of all the cars that were parked by the valet service. Produced by My Corporate Expressions, the gift-boxed keychains included the Houston Texans logo on one side and a BMW logo on the other.
Result
The keychains were a touchdown with customers. They turned out to have such appeal that additional orders were created so the keychains could be given out at all the BMW dealerships in the Houston area whenever a BMW was purchased. It was a successful
co-branding campaign that enhanced the image of both the brand and the team.
